The Wassifa Caribbean Show

The Wassifa Caribbean Show is a pioneering TV show which highlights excellence and promote the positive work happening within the African Caribbean community in the UK and wider African diaspora. It airs on Big Centre TV in the West Midlands and is the only show of its kind in the UK.

The show is presented by Rebbecca Hemmings who has a long history as an actress, theatre Director and Drama Education company owner. Her skills and experience of uplifting and motivating others in a vibrant and fresh manner have led to many highly entertaining and informative shows. Her style can be described as fun, highly professional and effective. She knows how to make guests feel comfortable enough to speak from their soul and connect with the viewers.

The guests range from local arts venue managers, church leaders and musical performers and more, to international artists such as Kirk Franklin, Freddie McGregor, Romain Virgo, Maxie Priest, Chaka Demus and Pliers, Gyptian, Joyce Simms to name a few. The show offers a modern favourable angle on African Caribbean culture by giving a voice to the community.
